AlphaHelm ("AlphaHelm", "we", "us") provides quantitative market signals and educational content. This service is operated by Steve Russell, an individual based in Australia.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It applies to the AlphaHelm website and account.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the service); our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the service); your consent (for analytics cookies and marketing email); and compliance with legal obligations.
We use essential cookies needed to run the site, such as keeping you signed in. These are always active.
We use Google Analytics to understand site usage. The analytics cookie only loads if you accept it in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers ("processors") needed to run AlphaHelm, and where required by law:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud database provider | Account, subscription, and watchlist data | United States |
| Payment processor | Subscription payments | United States / global |
| Email service providers | Account notices and marketing email | United States |
| Authentication & analytics provider | Sign-in and website analytics | United States / global |
| Hosting provider | Website hosting and image storage | United States / global |
Several of our providers are located in the United States and elsewhere, so your information may be processed outside your country, including outside Australia and the EEA. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the providers' standard contractual clauses) to protect it.
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Password reset links expire within one hour. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' retention settings.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorised access.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us at alphahelmsupport@gmail.com.
Australia: you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). EU/UK: you may complain to your local data protection authority. California: we do not sell your personal information, and you may request to know or delete the information we hold.
AlphaHelm is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
